Synthetic leather materials are more and more widely used in the production of bags, and PVC and PU bags in synthetic leather are favored by many consumers! But as ordinary consumers, many people do not know the difference between PVC and PU,

1. The PU polyurethane coating in the bag is divided into PU white glue coating and PU silver glue coating. The basic properties of PU white glue and silver glue coating are similar to those of PA coating, but the PU white glue and silver glue coating have fuller hand feel, more elastic fabric and better fastness, and the PU silver glue coating can withstand high water pressure, and the PU coating has moisture permeability, ventilation, wear resistance, etc., but the cost is high and the weather resistance is poor.

2. Compared with PU coating, the bottom cloth of PVC coating is thinner and cheaper. However, the film of PVC coating is not only toxic, but also easy to age. More importantly, the handle of PVC coating is not as good as that of PU coating, and the fabric is also hard. If you use fire, the taste of PVC coating fabric is much greater than that of PU coating fabric.

3. In addition to the difference between PU and PVC coated fabrics in bags in hand feel and taste, another point is that PU coating is generally leather, while PVC is glue.

4. The manufacturing process of PU leather is more complicated than that of PVC leather. As the PU base cloth is a canvas PU material with good tensile strength, it can be coated on the top of the base cloth and also included in the middle, making it impossible to see the existence of the base cloth.

5. The physical properties of PU leather are better than those of PVC leather, with good resistance to flexure, softness, tensile strength and air permeability (PVC has no). The pattern of PVC leather is hot pressed by steel pattern roller. The pattern of PU leather is hot pressed on the surface of semi-finished leather with a kind of pattern paper. After cooling, the paper leather is separated for surface treatment. The price of PU leather is more than twice that of PVC leather, and the price of PU leather with special requirements is 2-3 times higher than that of PVC leather. Generally, the patterned paper required for PU leather can only be used 4-5 times, and then it will be scrapped. The use cycle of pattern roller is long, so the cost of PU leather is higher than that of PVC leather.

In this way, as long as we understand the characteristics between the two, it will be much easier for non professional consumers to identify whether the bags are PU or PVC, as long as we distinguish them from the following three points: first, the feel is soft and elastic, while the feel is poor when PVC is hard. Second, look at the bottom cloth. The bottom cloth of PU is thicker and the plastic layer is thinner, while that of PVC is thinner. The third is burning. The pu taste will be lighter after burning.
