Tips on leather maintenance

The maintenance method is to wipe the water and dirt on the leather with a dry towel, clean it with leather cleaner, and then apply a layer of leather care agent (or leather care cream or leather care oil). This will keep the leather goods soft and comfortable all the time. Do not overload the leather goods to avoid damage caused by friction with rough and sharp objects. Do not expose the leather goods to the sun, bake or squeeze them. Do not approach flammable goods. Do not damp accessories and do not approach acidic goods. Always use a soft cloth to wipe them to avoid scratches, dirt and deterioration. Leather has strong absorption and should pay attention to antifouling, especially high-grade sanded leather. If there are stains on the leather, wipe it with a clean wet cotton cloth and warm detergent, and then let it dry naturally. Try it in an inconspicuous corner before formal use.

Wrinkled leather can be ironed with an iron at a temperature of 60-70 ℃. When ironing, thin cotton cloth shall be used as the lining, and the iron shall be moved constantly.

If the leather loses luster, it can be polished with leather care agent. Never wipe it with leather shoe polish. Generally, once a year or two, the leather can be kept soft and shiny, and the service life can be extended.

It is better to use the leather frequently and wipe it with fine flannel cloth. In case of rain

In case of dampness or mildew, soft dry cloth can be used to wipe away water stains or mildew spots.

If the leather is stained with drinks, it should be immediately dried with a clean cloth or sponge, and wiped with a damp cloth to allow it to dry naturally. Do not use a hair dryer to dry it.

If it is stained with grease, it can be wiped with a dry cloth, and the rest can be naturally dissipated by it, or cleaned with detergent. It can also be lightened with talcum powder and chalk dust, but it must not be wiped with water.

If the leather garment is torn or damaged, please ask professional personnel to repair it in time. If it is a small crack, you can slowly point egg white at the crack, and the crack can be bonded.

Leather should not be baked or directly exposed to the sun. It will cause deformation, cracking and fading of leather.

Leather products should be wiped with leather product maintenance solution. However, it should be noted that it varies with the cortex. It is better to ask about the cortex before using it, and then apply the maintenance solution to the bottom or inside of the bag to test whether it is applicable.

When the leather is suede (deerskin, reverse fur, etc.), use soft animal hair

Brush clear. Usually, this kind of leather will not be easy to remove because it is easy to spread with oil, so it is better to keep away from such accessory things as chewing gum or candy. When removing this kind of leather, be sure to wipe it gently to avoid whitening the bag and leaving traces.
